Club History

Brewood Juniors Football Club was founded in 1975 by Mac Webb MBE. Mac started the Club and affiliated with the Staffordshire FA with 1 under 10’s team playing in the Walsall Junior Youth League. Each year a new under 10’s team was set up until there was a team in every age group.

The Club grew and became well-established within the region. Brewood Juniors has always had teams in the Walsall Junior Youth League as well as some teams playing in other leagues such as the Mid Staffs Junior League and more recently the Midland Junior Premier League.

Over the years many trophies have been won including League titles, the Staffordshire Cup and also the Jimmy Mullen Cup which was played at the Molineux. Teams have been invited to play in the Nationals where the top teams in England, Scotland and Wales are invited to play.

As well as entering tournaments within the UK, teams have been fortunate enough to travel over to Europe to play in tournaments or go on tour to countries such as Germany, Belgium, France and Holland.

Brewood Juniors has been a Charter Standard Club for over 15 years. At least 1 coach in each age group is qualified and will have completed both a Safeguarding and Emergency Aid course. All managers/coaches/volunteers have Criminal Record Checks before being able to work with the players.
The home ground is situated on Engleton Lane in Brewood where training for all ages and home fixtures for teams U13 and over are played.

Some of the volunteers within the Club were previous players who have now come back as a manager/coach to offer their knowledge and skills or have brought their children to the Club and have volunteered their services and experience as a manager/coach. Managers often continue with the Club after they have taken their teams through the youth age groups by taking on another team or by taking on another role within the Club.
