Under 11s close again but suffer third defeat in tough Division

29th November 2018 Off By Emma Greybanks

After winning their opening two games with 16 goals scored in the strong ‘Yellow’ division , the Under 11s Juniors have now suffered three narrow defeats in a row, and went down 3-1 this weekend to a strong Wednesfield Aces side at Aldridge Airport.

Brewood took the lead in the first half with a great passing combination and finish but a harsh penalty and then hesitancy at the back gave Wednesfield a 2-1 half-time lead.

A highly entertaining and quality game continued in the second half and both teams had chances as the game could have gone either way.

A third Wednesfield goal in the last couple of minutes flattered Wednesfield in terms of the score line but they took their chances when they had them so we can’t complain. Three defeats in five but all close, entertaining matches.

Brewood now lie 4th of 7 in this division and with just one game to go will remain in this division for the winter trophy event in December and January.
