U14’s Solid Start

Our U14’s MJPL team have started off the new season with a draw against last years top of the league rivals Aylestone Youth and a win against Droitwich Spa. The Aylestone game ended 0-0 but was action packed from start to finish. Aylestone started off on top for the first 15 minutes when Brewood started to take control of the game. For 40 minutes Brewood looked the stronger side keeping Aylestone in their own half for most of the second half. Chances were had by both sides with both keepers having to make tremendous saves to keep the game alive. An amazing game of football to watch. A week later saw a win away against Droitwich Spa for the MJPL boys. The 0-3 scoreline was a sign of another well controlled game by Brewood, although not as action packed as the week before it was a solid defensive performance with the boys keeping another clean sheet.
